Our Story
The Virtual Assistants of Dallas Fort Worth is a group of highly qualified administrative professionals.
How did we come to fruition? This group was formed out of a conversation that took place via Twitter between Lissa Duty, Julia Lilly and Paula Belyeu. They discussed the need to formally meet, discuss their individual expertise and how they can help each other. Lissa Duty was inspired to start the group Virtual Assistants of DFW on Meetup.com and this informal meeting turned into a gathering of twelve virtual assistants around the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. This group started as five virtual assistants and has continued to grow over time. Lissa soon realized a need in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex for virtual administrative professionals to learn, share resources and help each other group their businesses. She acquired the domain name VADFW.com for the group and requested volunteers to help design the website. Paula Hill and Paula Belyeu immediately volunteered their web design services, specializing in Word Press, which you will see demonstrated on this website.
The content for this website was created by all the members and submitted to Julia Lilly for compiling. Marie Cardinal, another group member that specializes in editing and content writing volunteered her expertise, which is also demonstrated throughout the website.
We welcome you to browse the website, read our blog posts, post comments and contact us if you either need to hire a virtual assistant on a retainer basis or for a special project. We also encourage aspiring virtual assistants to follow along on our blog, as we will be sharing different resources and lessons we have learned along the way.
